Circumstances are still much in the habit of alteririg cases. It is said that a Yorkshire socialist was explaining to a friend the principies of his belief, and that he made the statement at the ontset that all possessions should be shared equally. "If you had two horses, " said the friend, "would you give me one?" "Of course," said the socialist. "And if you had two cows, would you do the same?" "Of course I should."
