Charles Tessmer, tne wen kdowd contractor and builder, residing ..on S Main st., near the tollgate, died Sunday of cholera morbus with whioh h had been taken the preceding Thnrsday He was 56 years of age and was bom iu Mrotzscben, Posen, Germany. H was somewhat prominent in politio and was the republioan noniinee fo alderman of the Seoond ward a yea ago last spring. He was highly re pected. He left a wife and ten children, five sons and five daughters Che sons are August, Charles, Edward Oscar and Albert, all of this oity The daughters are Mrs. Ida Walker, o Chicago, IU., Mrs. Emma Clancy, Carrie, Lena and Olga, of this city. The funeral services were held at the Bethlahem ohuroh Tnesday afternoon, Rev. John Neumann and Rev. J. M. Gelston preaohing, and was attended by a very large oonoourse of sorrowing friends.
