Santiago de Cuba, Aug. 16. - The first Cuban killed since the American troops occupied this city met his death early in the morning. He was shot by a sentinel who had detected him stealing. The shops of the city are filled with goods that have been stolen f rom the American commissary supplles and sold to the shopkeepers. The man killed was an old offender. He was detected taking some of the supplies and was ordored to stop. Instead of doing so he made a break for liberty, whereupon the senttnel fired at him, kllling him instantly.
