Miss Gertie Thnrber entertained her little girl friends last Saturday. Hugh McCabe, of Pinckney, spent Sunday with Mr. and Miss Coyle. John Matthews, of Anu Arbor, visited friends in tbis vicinity reoently. The Farmers' Clob will meet with Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Latson Saturday, Sept. 10. Will Lampbear and wife have moved to Jaokson, where Will has gone into business. Miss Agnes Hawkins eommenoed tbe fall term of school in Distriot No. 5, last Monday. Mr. and Mrs. C. M. Stark have returned from a pleasnre trip to Petoskey and Bay View. Charles Wheeler and family spent Snnday with his brothet K. H. Wheeler, of Dexter township. The Y. P. S. O. E. of the Congregationa] ohurch gave a social at Mr. Stepbens' last Thusrday evening. The Ladies' Sooial Cirole of the M. E. ohuich will give aohioken pie social at the residenoe of Charles Wheeler Wednesday evening, Sept. 7. Mrs. D. Green and granddangnter Miss Hattie Todd went to Ann Arbor, Tuesday, to visit her soa Leonard Green and took in the cirous while there. Miss Nettie Latson has retnrned to Pawnee City, Neb., to resnme teaohing. She has been epending her vaoation with her parents Mr. and Mrs. Wtn. C. Latson.
