Japan Is now Duiiaing a greai blcci plant. The works will cost $10,000,000, and will be put Into operation within three years. The product of the plant for the first year will be almost excluBively steel rails, and probably some steel plates for shlps. Boiler plates, bar steel and structural iron will follow in order. This steel plant, wiiich will be situated in Yawatamura, a town of about 10,000 inhabitants, is on the extreme northern end of the island of Kushiu. This island, according to I renorts. ia rich in coal.
