wasnmgton, Aug. 27.- Adjutant Geniral Corbin has issued an order which virtually gives to all the volunteers who served at Santiago sixty days' furlough before being mustered out. '.Senator Hoar of Massachusetts secured the order. When the notjce of the ttürty days' furlough for the Seventy-first New York and the Second Massachusetts was made public Senator Hoar telegraphed to the president, suggesting that the time be extended to sixty days and that it apply to all troops who served at Santiago. The idea pleased the president, and it was directed to be dohê. It Is sa'd that the same rule will bê applied to all the troops which have seen service in Porto Rico.
