Notice is hereby giveu that tbe lioeuses expire September lst, 1898, on all dogs barbored in the city of Ann Albor, acoording to An Ordinauce Relative to the Lioensiug of Dogs and Regnlating the Running at Large and the Slaying of Dogs, (Passed September 17, 1894; Approved September 18, 1894.) Setoion 1. It shaJl be unlawfal for any person to own, possess or haibotj or have the care or keeping of any dogj male or female, over the age of three montbs, within the city of Ann Arbor, without first obtaining a lioense therefor from the said city of Ann Arbor. The fee for said lioense sball be: Fot a male dog and a spayed female dog, one dollar; for a female dog, rwo dollars. No license sball be granted for a period exoeedingone year, and all licenses shall exphe on the first day of September sncceeding their issue. Seotion 2. It shall be the duty of every person o-wniug or having possession or care of any dog, male or female, to canse snch dog to be registered in the office of the city clerk, in a register kept by said clerk for tüat purpose, and to pay the lioense fee provided in Seotion 1 of this ordinauce into the city treasory ; and alBo to pay a fee of tweuty-five cents to the clerk of said city for the issning and recording suoh license; also to obtain the city clerk's receipt of said lioense so paid and the metallio plate or check berainafter desoribed, nnder the penalties herein provided. Seotion 13. Any person violating any of the provisions of this ordinance, shall, npon conviotion tbereof, be punished by a fine not exoeeding fifty dollars and oosts of prosecntion, and in the imposition of any suoh fine and costs, the oonrt ruay impose a furtber sentenoe that the offender be and remain imprisoned in the oominon jail of Washtenaw oounty until suoh fine and costs have been paid : Provided, Tbat such irnprisonment sball not exceed thirty days.
