Spaniards Violate Truce

Santiago de Cuna, Sept. 17. - Information reached here frorn Manzanillo that the Spar.iards thsre have violated the conditions of the protocol by attempting to capture the Cuban vessel Fernanda, whioh ente-red the harbor wíth supplies for the Cuban troops. The vessel was fired on by the fort overlooking the bay. One Cutan was killed and two slightly wounáed. The Cubans under Genera Rios. who were camping near the town, then advanced to a sitien where the unloacling of the Fernando -?ould be proteeted. General Lawton is asked to send an American guard to Manzanillo, where it is feared the patience of the Cubans wili not stand many more abuses by the Spaniards.
