Pingree-judson Men Downed
The repnlblican senatorial convention at Jaokson yeaterday nominated John O. Sharp' for senator. Their work was done ou one ballot, the vote standing 35 for Sbarp and 24 for Freeman. Sheriff Jndson and friends made great efforts for Freeman but only suooeeded in pulling over one taan, Brown, of Grass Lake. They wanted another delégate badly and had hopes oí one whioh were disappointed. O. E. Butterfield was made ohairman of the oonveutiou. Sheriff Jndson nominated Albert Stiles of Jaokson, for senator, bnt Mr. Stiles at onoe withdrew bis uame. Col. Vio DeLand nominated Sbarp. W. W. Wedemeyer named A. F. Freeman. The ballot was then taken and Sharp deolared the nominee. The Miobigan Central earnings for August were f684, 8.88. 70, a deorease of $23,643.94.
