Mrs. C. M. Fellowa, of Saline, spent Monday witb friends here. Mrs. Howard and Mrs. Silkworth took iu the Street fair at Jaokson last week. Chas. Gumpper's oldest son left last week for Ohioago wheie he has secured a position in a bioycle shop. Episcopal servioes were held in the Baptist ohnroh Sanday evening, oonducted by Rev. Blackford, of ClintOD. He brought with him several boy and girl singers to assist in the servioes. E. S. Hagaman received word last week that the person who stole his horse and wagon on Germán Day had been looated at Tiffln, Ohio. A warrant for his arrest was irumediately sent to the sheriff who went after the onlprit and bronght him to Ann Arbor, where he oonfessed to the theft. A telephone messige Saturday informed Mr. Hagaman that the horse had been brought to Hudson. He left on the night train for that place and letnrned Snnday with the horse. It had been sold to parties in Indiana, bnt the thief when oaptured, told where it oould be fouud. This theft, with the snbseqnent searoh for and oapture of the gnilty person, has caused a more than "nine days vv onder"
