Office of the Board of Public Works, Ann Arbor, Sept. 29th, 1898. J Kegular session. Called to order by Pres. Smith. Present- Pres. Smith, Mclntyre, Keech. The minutes of Sept. 21st read and approved. Street Commissioner Koss filed receipts for $3.65 for repairing walk for Hunter; for $10.00 for sidewalk for White estáte ; $30.00 for walk for Mrs. T. Kearns; 120.00 for sidewalk fer Ann Arbor SavingsBank. To the Board of Works: Gentlemen,- In making my report to the Board of Review I estimated tbe cost of plaeing all sidewalks on grade and for fllling between the curbstone and sidewalk with cement sidewalk fllling. The estímate was based on a cost of S20.00 per eaeh 22 ft. of store frontage, also on cement fllling at a cost of 11.25 per yard, making a total estímate in District. No. 1 of $3,247.50 and in District No. 2 $400.00. Geo. F. Key, City Engineer. Referred to the City Attorney. Mr. Mclntyre moved that the subject of paving brick be referred to Pres. Smith. Yeas - Pres. Smith, Mclntyre, Keech- 3. Nays- None. Mr. Melntyre moyed that as no bids were received for sidewalks as advertised for, that the Street Commissioner be authorized to build the same. Yeas- Pres. Smith, Mclctyre, Keech -3. Nays - None. Mr. Keech moved that the Board recommend to the Council the purchase of plank for bridge No. 1 and for crosswalks. Yeas - Pres. Smith, Mclntyre, Keech g Nays- None. On motion the Board adiourned. City Clerk.
