Democrats Name Van Wyck

Syracuse, N. Y., Sept. 30.- The Democratie state convention nominated the followitig ticket: Governor, Augustus Van Wyck oL Kings county; lieutenant governor, Elliott Danforth of Chenango; secretary of state, George W, Battin of Niágara; comptroller, Edwin S. Atwater of Dutchess; state treasurer, E. B. Norris of Wayne; state engineer and surveyor, Martin Schenck of Rensselaer; attorney general, Thomas F. Conway of Clinton. At 3:30 the convention, after having adopted the star as the ballot emblem and appointing the usual committees to fill vacancies, adjourned sine die.
