First Lecture Monday Evening Next, by Prof. Wenley on Robert Burns

Those acquainted with the brilliant professor of philosophy in the university cannot afford to miss this lecture at the Unitarian church Monday evening, on Robert Burns. Dr. Wenley as a Scotchman must be an admirer of the great national poet of Scotland. Burns has been dead more than 100 years and is the only poet of his day who enjoys a steadily increasing fame. The reason is he was an honest, genuine poet of the human heart and so can never grow dull or get out of fashion so long as the human heart remains what it is. Dr. Wenley has the courage, the knowledge and the ability to do justice to Burns - his poetry, his genius and his character, and we are sure a great treat is in store for those who hear him Monday night.
