Geo. Russell intends building a barn this winter.

Thomas Gotts is building a very large house in town.

We will be having stump speeches from the house all winter.

Willie Butler and Mag Ely are recovering very slowly from typhoid fever.

G. Hammond had from 5 1/2 acres, 175 bushels of very nice white Boston pea beans.

J. Bunton's threshers pronounced his the best crop and finest beans they have threshed this season.

The L. O. T. M. ladies intend giving a fair in the K. O. T. M. hall at Whittaker's Corners on Dec. 20, 1898.

George Hammond is attaching a large barn to the one he already has. The stone wall is completed and the sills are in place.

H. S. Day has had a few days vacation since closing his cheese factory. He has been at Howell. He returned last Friday evening.

Ira Bissell has been suffering from a large blood boil upon his right hand on the back near or on the cords of his thumb. Poor comforter.

Mrs. J. M. Briening goes to Toledo the 15th to take leave of her friend Miss Clara Lord before going to California to reside. Miss Lord has one sister and one brother there.

Miss Ella Warner, the alto singer of Willis choir, is dangerously ill with a cough, and it is feared will not pull through. She is an estimable young lady and sister of Mrs. Allie Day.

Will Lord and wife were out calling on Mr. Lord's friends last week. Will was married Oct. 25, in Chicago, to Miss Nellie Bushnell, formerly of Ypsilanti. Will is a worthy Lord, and thinks the bride is. They will reside in East Saginaw.
