He Wants The Bonds Broken
Another divorce suit comes from the western confines of the county. John W. Cappy asks for a divorce from his wife, Alice E. Cappy, whom he married in Hastings, Nov. 15, 1878. They have two children. The ground on which the divorce is asked is extreme cruelty. The bill lays the blame largely to a boarder who was taken into the family, who it is charged, soon became the confidential adviser of the wife. Cappy says he often saw them together, when he thought they were talking about him, and gave the wife her choice between keeping the boarder in the house or himself. The boarder remained, although the bill charges he would go off on sprees, when Cappy would renew his demands that he be no longer allowed to remain in the. house. The unhappy couple have not lived together since November, 1896.
