Belser with ;he detachment of 12menfroru the 31st Michigan who went to Atlanta to preDare winter quarters for the regiment íave been ordered back to Knoxville. ïhis was taken to mean that the regiment was to be ordered at once to Cuba. The department a,t Washington siatèd, however, that this did not mean tluit any move would be made at once, but only that jnst as good winter qual'ters coiild be established at Knoxville and that they would be warm enoiigh for the short time remaining uutil the troops [eave there för Savannajj to embark for Cuba.
