A Farmers' Institute.

The conductor of the Washtenaw Farmers' Institute, which was held in Manchester the early part of this year in his official report says: "Unfortunately several who had been assigned local papers were not present, but on the other hand it was fortunate that there were but very few unsuccessful farmers present, who were anxious to consume all of the time, as is sometimes the case. One of the problems for Institute managers is how to keep the whirlwinds quiet? Washtenaw seems to have practically solved the problem by furnishing an abundance of successsul men who will talk."

F. E. Mills, the newly appointed secretary is making strenuous efforts to have an interesting and instructive program, arranged for the next annual meeting to be held some time in February. The time and place of holding the meeting has not yet been determined. The importance of this institute to the farmers, fruit growers and housewives, of Washtenaw county, can not be over estimated. To every one who will be present it means dollars and increased comforts of life. This is a rich county, but it can be made much richer by taking advantage of the lessons learned by the experience of others. If every farmers' club in the county will use its influence an institute will be held that will surpass every other in the state. Will it be done?
