A. L. Voorheis, of Detroit, gpent Sunday with his parents. Mr. Price is rebuilding his dwélling house on the site of the one burnert in December. There carne near being two big blazes Jast week as a restilt of trying to heat up and pushing the ehimneys aud stoves beyond their capacity. The dwelling house of Benjamin Covert two and a half miles east of Ypsilanti and the Redner school hons-e both creiited lunch smoke aud considerable of a scare, but cooled off with a few pails of 14 degrecs below zero water. The goldeu wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Rawson was celebrated the 8th at their home in Rawsonville. The company ntimbercd about 125 and adjourned to tbe hall adjoining where the presentation of some elegant gifts were tendered with a fine program, and a sumptnous dinner. The aged grootn and bride are the oldest pioneers in this vicinity.
