Killed By The Cars

John Corey was Saturday morning at 6 o'clock killed by a freight train at Chelsea which was his home. He with a number of companions had visited Jackson and were stealing a ride home. When opposite his home in the village he jumped. The conductor of the freight train felt the jar as the caboose passed over his body and sent the watchman at the station back to investigate the cause. The watchman found Corey with his arms and legs cut off and his head mangled. He was dead when found He was 21 years of age.
