Prof. Hall, of the university observatory is in receipt of a telegram from Prof. Louis Swift, of Echo Mt. , California, which announces a bright cornet, visible to the naked eye. seen in right ascension 3 hours, 45 minutes and south declention 20 degrees 9 minutes. It is a short tail cornet and moves slowly. It may be seen about 45 degrees south of the Pleiades. Our citizens should watch for it.
