After being in btisi ness two years for himself he accepted an engagement with Jacob Haller & Son, jevvelers, and was in their employ for ltí years. Some five years ago ■with bis family he removed to Chicago The winter before leaving Ann Arbor he stifïered from a severe attack of the grip from which hft uever fnlly recovered. He was a member of Ann Arbor Lodge, No. 27, A. O. U. W. Adu Arbor Tnrn Verein and Aun Ar bor Schntzeubund. He was of a very amiable disposition and rnuch respectec for his upright chara eer. He leaves a wife, one soa and two daughters.
