Congressman Henry C. Snrith has ost bis fanrily mileage case iu the Dnited States snprerne court. This is he case concerning which he made mneh political capital during the last campaign. The supreine court ;hrough Justce Peckbain decided the Michigan law requiriug railroads to issue 1,000 rnile family mileage tickets was in volatiion of that provsion of the federal constitution which forbids the akiug of property without due procesa of law. The court holds that the law is a discrimination in favor oí' inarried men. The decisión was not nuanimous, Chief Justice Fuller and Justice Gray and McKenua disseutiug.
