Miss Mattie Morehouse has returned to her home after a visit with her sister Mrs. Everett Shaw.

Mr. Tooze, of the U. of M., formerly of Quincy schools, has been engaged as principal in the schools for the coming year.

Mr. Barry and Mrs. Kilby are visiting in Hillsdale this week and will attend the district convention of the W. C. T. U.

J. A. Alber opened the hotel in the Frank building last Monday. It is believed that Abe will get his share of the trade.

O'Hara & Hertler purchased the fat stock from the Lamkin estate. They paid $4.90 for the lambs and $3.90 for the steers.

The landlord of the Harmon house has been making numerous improvements which add to the attractiveness of the hotel.
