To Cool Off At The Whitmore Lake Resort

Initially Some Fall In -- Major Stevens Moves to Whitmore Lake Tomorrow

Whitmore Lake, Aug 1. -- (Special to Daily Argus) -- C. Fasden, Edward Ryan, and Wm. Schneider of Ann Arbor were here yesterday placing one of those famous peninsular furnaces In Geo. W. McCormick's new residence which is now under construction and will be ready for occupancy by Sept. 15. 

Mrs. Chas. L. Rane who was reported on the sick list a few days ago is seriously ill tonight with a bad fever. 

Frank Roper is constructing a stone wall for John O'Brien and Pray Bros. will construct a residence thereon to be completed Sept. 1. 

Married, at Ann Arbor, July 31, Edward Hewitt of Whitmore Lake, and Miss Minnie Werner, of Ann Arbor. The happy couple have taken up their abode in Mr. Hewitt's new house and his numerous friends are wishing the happy couple great joy. 

Farmers are complaining bitterly of the drought and declare the corn crop is a dead failure but that sounds like calamity howlers.
