Apropos of the effect of tlectric railroads on country tovvns is a conversaton which the Leader had a few days sinoe with Mr. Haywood of Wayne. He stated that siucc the electric road was built through his town every line of business bas increased ona-third. ïhe property values are also inoreasing aud the amount of building is unprecedeuted. The people of Wayne, sorue of whom were opposed to the road on the start, aru overjoyed at the result aud, if anyone should propose closirig ït down, be would be mobbed on the spot. When we take into consideración the proximity of Wayne to Detroit, the inetroüolife of tbe state, the
