W. E. Rodgers, cf Alpena, and a party of other gentlemen froraAnn Arbor viz: Lester Canfield, J. A. Gwinner, A. J. Lohr and Robt. Rtyer, came .down from Alpena Friday for a fisning trip to the strearus in the vicicity of the Lavier settlerneut. Tbey report a catch of 240 (whew ! rwallow hard) trout, The party stayed with Dan Lavier und spoke highiy of his entertaiumeut. There were no accidents on the trip except that Mr. Oanfield, whose avoirdnpois runs up in the neighborhood of 22ö, became excited at the sight of a 3ponnd treut in a deep hole and plnnged in after it.
