ENTHUSIASTIC MEETING HELD

THE FARMERS ON GRAVEL ROAD WANT RURAL MAIL DELIVERY

THEY WILL MEET THE SPECIAL POSTOFFICE AGENT HERE TOMORROW.

A very enthusiastic meeting was held at Mills' school house on the gravel road Saturday evening in the interest of rural free mail delivery. Everyone present was a property owner and a representative citizen. The chairman of the meeting was Alfred Paul and Henry Depew secretary. After a thorough discussion a committee consisting of Charles Mills and Henry Depew were appointed to meet the special post office agent on Tuesday and represent their wants. It was felt that the farmers are as much entitled to free mail delivery, if not more so, as the people in the city. The citizens along the proposed route are thoroughly alive and propose to get rural free mail, delivery if such a thing is possible. The farmers interested are all tax payers, and men of intelligence.
