Obituary

Ira B. Hitchcock, one of the early pioneers of Washtenaw county, died at his home in York township, Aug. 11, 1899. He was born in Madrid, N. Y., April 18, 1809. Mr. Hitchcock came to Michigan in 1885, settling on the farm where he died. The deceased leaves two sons and a daughter and a large circle of friends who deeply mourn his loss. The funeral services were held at the family residence Sunday at 2 p. m., Rev. E. M. Renner officiating.
