Nickle-in-slots Were Thrown Out

The resurrected life of the nickle-in-the-slot machines in this city was very brief.

Saturday night an agent stepped in and placed three machines in as many different resorts.

Nickles rolled in like coffee in a grinder at a grocery store.

This morning Marshal Gerstner went around and notified the proprietors of the places to put the machines on the discards.

And out they went.
