Testimony of Three Witness to Be Taken before a Commission.

The case of Lester Canfield vs. G. Frank Allmendinger has been set for trial for Oct. 19.

This was made on an affidavit to the effect that the defendant needs the testimony of Maria Vanderberg, Henry Caldwell and A. B. Sanderson, of Litchfield, Hillsdale county, and an order was made to take their testimony before a commission. It is understood that the defendant will endeavor to impeach the official character of Mr. Canfield by the three above witnesses. The affidavit stated that Maria Vanderberg is an old lady and Henry Caldwell is employed in a mill, and neither will come to Ann Arbor.
