JUDSON PAID FIFTY DOLLARS

To One of the Attorneys who Was Against Him.

SETTLE STOCKWELL CASE

And That Was The Only Money Which Passed From One SIde to the Other.

Anybody that thinks that "Billy'" Judson did not get the worst in the peace settlement is decidedly mistaken.

Attorney Crane, of Saginaw, was a lawyer in the Stockwell case. When the question of dropping the cases was proposed on that memorable morning, Mr. Crane was called up by long distance telephone.

Would he agree to drop the cases?

He would if he got a $50 attorney fee.

Stockwell was suing Doane, Judson and Canfield. Doane was miles away and didn't know anything about the proposed settlement.

Mr. Judson paid the $50: And that was the only money which passed from one side of the fence to the other. And Mr. Moran didn't have to make any retraction for it, either.
