A Pardon Is Refused M'cart

The board of pardons has refused to grant a pardon to Robert McCart, who was sentenced from this county on May 5,1897, for life for rape on an old woman 70 years of age and living in Bridgewater.

McCart has written to Judge Kinne that he is innocent of the crime and that he never told a lie in his life.

Prosecuting Attorney Kirk and the judge seem to think different.
