Only Four Took Their Hats Off

At a recent meeting of the Ladies' Society of the Congregational church they decided that they would remove their hats during services so as to leave an unobstructed view to those sitting behind modern sky scraping headgear. Sunday was the first time the new rule was to go in operation. A glance around the congregation revealed the fact that only four ladies had obeyed the mandate unanimously passed by the entire society.
