H. O. Baoks, formerly a resident here, but now of' Detroit, was in the city Monday last. Et J. Ferdon, of Lake View, pi rond through thi.s city Tucsday, on his wiy to Indianapolis and Cincinnati. The Uharlevoix Sentinel ays "Ö.C. Mahon, of Ann Arbor, haa loastd n part of W. J. Bradley's house, and will bring his family liere for the summer." Mr. S. O. Foster formcrly with the Hon. A. J. Sawyer, of this city, and a gradúate of the university, but at present residing in Holland, Iowa, stopped over on his way east, last Wednesday, to see his old friends in the city. W. B. Mitchell, editor and proprietor of the St. Cloud, Minn. Journal, and one of the most prominent and substautial business men of that city, has been visiting his brother, Mr. U. S. Mitchell, who isattending the university, the present week. He called apon the Courier last Wednesday, and was shown over the establishment. The Wayne County Review published at Wayne, has thoso three personáis : " Miss Carrie Andrews, of Ann Arbor, is viMting at Inkster, the guest of Dennison Huil, Esq. - C. F. Bennett has onc to take charge of the Ann Arbor telegraph office for a few days. - Prof. Olney, of the university, disooursed to a full house at the Baptist church on last Sabbath morning, and in the evening gave a very lucid and logical temperance lecturc at the Presbyterian church."
