The Medies are having written examinations to cool them off. We understaDd that Dr. Rose now has a class of about fifty io Pbysiological Chem8try. Quite a collection of fossils has been sent to the Museum that were collected by Dr. Rominger on the Geological Survey. Mr. Mosely, of tbe Freshman class, was suddenly called home this week by a telegram announcing the death of liis father. Written examinations make the mathematicians grow hollow-eyed and sallow complexioned now-a-days. If you don't believe it catch one and examine him. Five editors will be elected to morrow for the Chronicle Board of next ycar. Mr. Zinkheisen, whose time has not yet expired, resigna, because he does not intcnd to be here next year. An anonymous paper purporting to come from the Psi Upsilon fraternity was industriously circulated about town Tuesday night. It goes without saying that this was a vile and cowardly slander. A quartette from the University, couiposed of Messrs. üsborno, Grant, Whedon and Hunt, sang at a concert in Detroit last Tuesday evening. The Detroit papers speak very highly of their singing. Improvements are being mado upon and around the main building. Over all the Campus the grass is growing tall and thick, and by Commencenient, when it will be cut, it will give the janitor a fine erop of hay. Prof. Hennequin has offered to start a new class in fencing this week, te be open to all in the University. The Club mcets in McMahon's hall Saturday at 10 A. M., at which time thoso who wish to enter the class may present theniselvea. The boys who attempted to horn one of the assistant Profs. last Saturday night were unfortunato in selecting the time, as they received so sudden a cali from the pólice that they were cotnpelled to accept thcir urgent invitation to take a walk with them. The following officers have been chosen for next year by the Students' Christian Association : President, A. G. Hall ; VieePresident, T. W. Peers ; Treasurer, F. C. Cole ; Corresponding secretary, Misa C. L. Johnson; Recording secretary, J. H. Scott ; Librarían, A. A. Gillette. This evening the Alpha Nu holds its regular election of officers for the next semester. After the election the officers of this semester will unite those just elected in making it pleasant for those were not in office. They will go down to Hangsterfer's and will find there a large table bountifully spread with eatables, they will sit down and surround the eatablcs, and then will come toasts and songs. A case of Roman and Bjzantine coino has been placed in the Library. They were collected by Mr. A. E. Richard, a former resident of Livingston county, who is now re8ding in Wales and Italy. For eeveral years he has been present at many of the excavations in Italy and has thus secured them. To complete the set whero the origináis aro wanting, models have been procured. Additions are continually being mado by Mr. Richards.
