Democratic State Ticket
The demócrata of Michigan held their state convontion at the opera house, in Detroit, last Thursday, and nominated a full stto ticket. The victiuis quite oílon kicked against the forccd and empty honors, and in scvcral instanccs it took a long time to find any who would consent to be slaughtered. The tickot ia headcd by " policy," or in othcr words, out of poliey only.and without regard to fitness, a farmer was placed at the head. One editor, Williard Stearnf, of the Adrián Press, rcoeivod the compliment of being placed in a position to chaso afmr the office of socretary of ¦teta. Tlio following is the reault of tho labora of the convention : Governor -K. M. Hollowny. of Hlllsilale. Lleutenunt Ooveruor- E. H. It will be notioed that all of the important offices aro given to the very strongest republican counties in the state, the democratie countios of Wayne, Oukland and - sometimes - Washtonaw, fare pretty slim, while Monroo, Maeomb, Livingston and the hopelessly Bourbon districts, are entiroly left out in tbc cold. Whore is democratie justice.
