Sidney Culver, of Mason, was in the city the past week. Mrs Culver has returned from her trip to Long Island and the east. Ilufus Fleming, of Cincinnati, was in the city last week visiting friends. Mrs. Geo. North and MÍ9S Allie Goodrich will hereafter reside in Detroit. Dr. Kelly, ofFarwell, Clare Co., formerly of this city, was in town a few days last week. Miss Phebe II usted, of Poughkeepsie, N. Y., is visiting her cousin, Mrs. R. A. Beal, of this city. Willis Mcnritt, one of Tecumseh's rising young lawyers, was in the city last Monday, and was a caller at the Courier office. Herman Pistorious, formerly of this city, is a candidate for circuit court conimissioner upon the republican ticket of Sagin&w county. Mrs. Dr. Harding nee Carrie Cook, who has been spending somo time at her father's, C. B. Cook's, isabout to return to her home at Sault Ste. Marie. Aaron Parsons, for many years the telegraph operator and ticket agent at the M. C. R. R. depot in this city, at present living at Batavia, N. Y., has boen viking friends in the city. A young Steere having steered into the house of Prof. J. B. Steere, the happiness and delight of its parents over the eventia very great. She turns the scales at 12 pounds, and will be known as Edith.
