A recent exchange thus alludcs to the strect parade, tuade by the great Forepaugh show which is to exhibit at Ann Arbor, Oct. 4, : "Adam Forepaugh's 'greatest of all great shows' passed our office this niorning, in processional array. We unqualifiedly pronounce the display the most elabórate, novel, extensivo and magnifioent of any ever seen in this city. The cavaliso.de was hended by a large and most excellent band, seated in a magnificent chariot, which was drawn by fourteen thoroughbred horses, all prettily plumed ; fbllowing this appeared a cavalcade of richly robed processionisls, mounled upon handsome horeca. The great cages oontaining the wonderful hippopotamus, the six-ton rhinoceros, the giraffe, and the tauk with sea-lions followed, and then a rcalistio scène entitled the 'Urand Bashaw and his Court' was presented. Tlie great mogul appeared seated upon an elegantly caparisoned camel followed by his servitors, sultanus, cup-bearers, etc., etc. 10 Asiatic and African elephants, hamossed to the "Car of India," next appeared, presenting a truly eastern spectacle of magnificence and grandeur. Black camcls and white dromedaries followed, and a long line of sutnptuously conducted cages, containing the ornithological varieties of the menagerie. Upon the canopied cevering of a chariot that lollowed, stood a monster full-grown African lion, perfectly loose, and standing by his side was to be seen a handsome aud modest girl of 10 or 18 years of age. And thus through a column or more of minute description of this great street display. It should be remembered that this grand parade will start between the hours of 9 and 10 o'clock, on the morning of October 4th, tbc day Forepaugh's show is to exhibit heru, and tho.se who reside at a distance from the town should endeavor to reach here by 9 o'clock on show day, in order to see this monster street demonstratoin, which will be free to all.
