This case carne up before the supremo court laat Tuesday morning. Ashley Pond (who reoeived a fee of $5,000 for defending the defaulter before Huntington) occupied the time until 9 p. m., and Judge Doaglas the most of the ncxt day, to the disgust of the bar of the state, who were detained in Lansing on expense. The court, in allowing so much time when onlj one side was before them, treated them with distinguished consideration. But, as they show no greater respect for them than the court below, we must find no fault.
