The result of last Tnesday's contest in in this state, has been very flattering to the republicana. From present indicatiou.i it looks as though tbc rcpublican electoral ticket had been cbosen by about 50,000 majority, and that Jerome, for governor had about 40,000 majority. The reduction of the vote for governor was caused, as all know, by the action of the liquor dealers' throughout the state, in opposing hiui. The entire congressional delegation will bc republican as beretofore. Mr. Lord has about 475 majority in the first district, and and Mr. Horr, in the seventh, about 2,500 notwithstandÍDg every means posible was used to defeat him. In this, the eecond district Mr. Willits will have at least 2,500 majority, while I-iacey, n the 4th has some 5,000 or 6,000 majority. In tlie legislatura the tbing is almost unanimous. There will possibly be one democrat in the senate, and 12 or 15 in the house, not enongh to li mlly bold a caucus. Tlie one senator will have things liis own way probably in regard to these important cvii(-, }ut hls wül le most terribly lonenome unlosH he is an unusually jolly sort of' a fcllow.
