Elegant oil paintings and engravings adorn the walls, while the surroundings present everything that taste and beauty oould desire. The college museum is especiall ryich in the line ofgeology and zoology ; and agood beginning has been made toward the collection of ethnological ¦paria om, which is well worth a visit from any one passing through West Va. Thii ifanat+Tnani of the college is in charge ot Prof. G. F. Eastwood, a gradúate of Michigan Uuiversity, class of '71, who bringH to his work all the skill andenergy of an enthusiaat, ina broad and faseinating field of labor. He has just added to his working apparatus one of the finost mieroscopes in the country, and proposes to make analytical chemistrj', as applied to local agriculture, a feature of the college. The Hon. James A. Garfield, premdentelect, is one of the trustees of this college.
