Ntl.-on J. Kyer left for London, Ontario, Monday night, to he absent a few da3Ts. John Schumacher, president of the reform club, has had a severe attack of heiuorrhage of the lungs, but is now slowly rccovcring. We were very much pleased to ncoive a brief cali frotn Mr. Ilenry Bolton, of' Alpcoa, last Monday, who was in the city upon business. Mr. H. H. Satage, of Boston, was in the city last Wednesday, and called at the Courier office. He representa the American Art llevicw. Chas. H. Hutchins, formerly of this city, but now residing in Owosso, and Miss Nettie P. Crittenden, of Mount Cletnens, were married on the 5th inst. V. J. Teft; classof '77, at pTOMOt editor of the Inghaiu County News, and iuanaging editor of the Chronicle in 1877, was in the city last Friday, and called at the Courier office. The genial face of Mr. Jas. W. Allen has been missed several days thé past week, froiu his accustomed place in the postoffice, and we regret to learn that sickness got the upper hand of hiru and laid him out for a few days. He's better.
