Nissly of the Saline Observer, was a ealler at the the CouniER office last Saturday. He reports things progressing finely with the Observer. I. L. Witmyer, has returned frotn Connecticut, and stands in with the temperance crusade as rouch as of old. He will speak at the opera house a week from Sunday. Capt. J. D. liman, of Mooroe ; Hon. Geo. II. llopkins, of Detroit; Hon. Geo. II. Granger, of Tuscola ; and Hon. K. I). (. Holden, have been in tho city the past week. M. T. White, who has resided within a tnile or'so of thi.i city nearly the whole of bis life, left with his family last Wednesday night for Fairfield, Jefferson county, Iowa, whcre lie has purcha.-cd a farm and will ujake liis future home.
