B. H.McOren-, lawclassof '81, hasshown to his niany friends what caiv be accomplished by a man haring a strong determination to make hia way in the world. Por six monthsthis gentleman has been teaching with the best of success, in the school house la Pittsfleld, on the grarel road 2% miles f rom Ann Arbor. He also passcd his exaniinations with lus class, was given his diploma, and on the flrst of June lea ves for Lincoln, Nebraska to enter upon the profession of law. Ou Arbor day he set, in and around the school grounds, about forty trees - one for each of his scholars - doing the most of the work himself. May the tress Uve and flourish asa lasting memento of the good he has done our children. He carries the best wishes of párente and children, who would gladly retain liim longer as a teacher, if they could. vw
