Hendricks, of Joe T. Jacobs store, started last Tuesday for Petoskey to spend a few days recuperating. Leonard B. Vaughan, of Petrolla, Out., is stopping a few days in the city, looking after the affairs of his father's estáte. Albert J.Volland, professor in the Plattsville, Wis., normal school, is spending the vacatlon with his parents in this city. Mrs. W. G. Doty is visiting friends in Manchester. Her sister, Mrs. Bessie Miller, has returned to her home in Colorado. Prof. O. C. Seelye, superintendent of schools at Owosso, is in the city, and was a caller at the Couiukr office yesterday. H. A. Beal and his sou Junius E. Beal, returned Wednesday noon from their trip to the White Mountains and the sea shore. Ed. J. Morton, of the Courier office, left last Tuesday for a trip in the northern part of our state, taking in Petoskey, Cheboygan, etc. W. W. Wines, of the firm of Wines & Worden, wlll arrive in Petoskey to-day, having taken passage on the steamer "Flora,'' at Detroit last Tuesday evening, for that point. Miss Minnle Hinehinan, daughter of Hon.Theodore II. Hinchtnim of Detroit, accompanied by her cousin Master Theo. Hinchman are the guests of J. M.Wheeler, West Huron St. A note received by Mrs. Chas. II. Worden, of this city, from Mrs. R. B. Pope, of Chieag-o, announces the safe arrival of Rev. Dr.Pope in Glasgow, Scotland, after a very pleasant passage. Mr. Chas. Easton, of Lima, who i now traveling on beyoml the 80th mile post of life, goes east next Monday, to Rochester, Canandaigua, etc, on a three or four weeks visit among relativos.
