The public display and procession, nnder ie management of the common cotincil, vas held in the afternoon. At half-past 1 'clock precisely, the various societies, civic nd military, formed in line in the order tated last week. At 2 o'clock sliarp, the ntire procession was ready to move, said o be the t ï - t time on record that a procssion moved at the time designated. The ne was headed by the Ann Arbor city and, followed by Company A, war veterns, Masonic societies, Odd Fellows, and thci civic organi.ations, the juvenile band, vnhhts Templar, fire companies, etc., the niversity senate, students, and citizens in carnajes bringing up the rear. The display was very line indeed. Mauy residences on the line of march were heavily draped in mourning. By request the column dtd not move aloiig some of the streets as advertlsed which was a greatdisappointinent to nmuy who had gone to considerable expense and trouble in druping their residenees. Arriviü{f at the churcli which was beuutifully and eleyantly draped for the occasion, a portion oí the procession filed in, but the greater number failed in guining ndmission, a fact which causedsume serious disappolntment, and severe critleisru. The exercises in the churclt were gone through with ai heretofore stated. In the ranks we iioticed a large number of Masonsand Odd Fellowsfrom Ypsilanti, Dexter.and other neighboring places, many of whom carne tohear as well as show their good will, but were unable to galn entrance to the church.
