Crippen, of Ypsilanti, callcd at the Coüki er office on Tuesday. 15. S. Waiteand wife ate turkey with bis parents in Fenton yeaterday. Mrs. J. J. Read, nee Miss Mamie E. Hiscock, of Chicago, Is in the city. Mrs. A. F. Cooley, daughter of Mrs. Taylor spent Thanksgivingin the city. Deacon Loren Milla has returned froni visiting his son and daughter in Kansas. M. 11. French, Esq., and wife spent Thanksgiving with J. K. Karre in Detroit R. D. Giles and family, of Detroit, spent Thanksgiving with their parents in this city. Charlie Mann, of Detroit, spent Thanksgivïng in this city with his father, Emanuel Mann. M. J, Frltz, bookkeeper iu the Savings bank is nearly recovered from his attack of remittent fever. Ed. Maloney, tireman on theT., A. A. fc G. T. Ry., was promoted last Monday iiiorning to the position of engineer. L. W. Briggs was in town in the early part of the week. He and C. Gregory, both of Dexter, have been investing in pine lamls. H. J. Hindes, of East Saginaw, a meraberof the High School class of '81, has been spending a few days among his classuiatcs in this city. Geo. Dengler, who learned his trade in the Coürikr office, leaves for Detroit tomorrow where he will begin work in the State bindery in that city. He is a flrst cluss workinnn, faithful and of good habits. We wish him success in his new place.
