Frotn the Leader. Burglars entered the residence of Mrs. O. M. Snilth, Saturday niglit. Nothing taken. It is rumored that Messrs. McPherson, ol Howell, T. Berket, of Dover, and Qregory, Honey and Briggs, of Dexter, liave fornied a company for the puspose of operating in Texas pine lands. Mr. Berket left for Texas Tuesday night. The ïremper school house was entered by a tramp Friday night. He broke a window on the front side to get in and anotlier on the back side to get wood and carried otf anumberof books. Strong new shutters have been ordered to protect the house fronj such visitors in the future. A son of Prof. McLouth, of Ypsilanü, iius been engaged nnd taken the place of assistant professor in the Union school. We already liear golden opinions of him. We are glad of this new recruit to the teaching force of our school, as Prof. Cook has had entirely too much to do during the present session.
