We have received from Congrcssnian Willits tlie full report of the Tariff Commission just issued, and now before Congress. Through tlie kindness of Mis. T. F. Graber of Berkeley, California, the mails have brought us the Christmas number of The Argonaut, a large magazine published in San Francisco. lts 32 pages are replete wlth good readiii{r prcsentod in an attractive style. The Michigan Alinanac publiMied by the Detroit News Company, for 15 cents, is h very handy pamphlet, since it contains reliable tables on all themain points of interest to business men and politicians. It gives Üsts of the papers published, State and county offloers, election returns, statistics, and alove all it is furnished with a Hne railroad map of the State. Copp's Guide.- The third edition ol Copp's Settler's Guide, a popular exposition of our public land system, U before us. It is edited by Henry N. Copp, of Washington, D. C.,,the well knoivii autlior lts price is only 25 cents in paper and 75 cents in cloth : 8vo. 114 pp. The chapter on surveys is llustrated, and shows how to teil township and section corner?, etc. The chapters on Pre-emptions, Honiesteads, and Timber Culture coutain the latest rulings and instructions. Every settler and land man should have u copy of tliis valuable little book. Good vegetables and beautiful flower cannot be ;rown trom inferior seeds. If our readers would procure the best, they should purchaseonly those grown and put up by old eatablished and reliable parties. D. M.
