We have liad ourslight vcxations Every year: And pleasing jubilations Kvervyear: . There are visions to reniember Oí ílowers in September And Christmas in December Every year. The Bun shines now as briglitly Every yea And the enowflakes fall as lightly Every year: As in days when we were younger, ' And the years appeared much longer To our hearts, ivhieh then feit stronger, Every year Afllictions have not shrouded Every year: AniJ troubles have not elouded Every yeav; But hope the whole discounted, While the iormer were recounted, And the latter all surmounted Every year. Our weakness is more trying Every year : And the days more ewiftly flying Every year ; Our faults bring deep eontrition, Our errors admonition, Eiperienee its fruition Every year. The end of life comes nearcr Every year; The friends left become dearer Every year : And the "goal of all that's mortal" Opens wider still its portal To the land of the immortal Every year. And thinner grows the eurtain Every vear: That divides us from the certain Every year: We look forward to the morrow Whieh shall elose all earthly fiorrow With the ealmness Hope can borrow Everv vear.
